Providence Cotton Mill Wedding
Alejandra and Nestor met over a decade ago while bowling with friends.
And they annoyed each other. At least that’s what they shared with me! Sounds like a rom-com “meet cute,” if you ask me. He was quiet and she was more extraverted. After a social media friend request, they started talking, became friends and fell in love. That is the compressed version.
These two really did find each other and realized that best friendship and attraction CAN work if you both want the same thing. I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer recently at their gorgeous Providence Cotton Mill wedding. This place, with this couple, … I cannot say enough. The landscape, setting, and spaces are perfect for a celebration. And celebrate they did!
Our Setting
The Providence Cotton Mill, as a wedding venue, feels as if it was made for photographers. It is replete with elements, architectural spaces, bricks, earth tones, natural beauty and light - I was in heaven. Alejandra and Nestor knew that the setting held its own beauty, and the couple’s favorite color is green, so everything came together naturally. Tonally, this space and this couple made it so much fun for all of us as vendors. The bridesmaids green gowns, the elegant mix of florals, the string lights, along with all of the structural and natural elements at Providence Mill - all were characters for their special day.

The Party
The reception space was decorated with lights, florals, a custom sign, plenty of tables and perfect atmosphere. While it is clearly an former Mill, Providence has the feel of old Europe. The high ceiling with exposed trusses, white-washed brick and tons of natural light, made the space elegant and romantic. Alejandra’s love of the rustic feel and savvy use of minimal but elegant decor, made the space sing. All we added was joy, music and the happy couple surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The day was magic!
Alejandra: “The most memorable part of the reception was ‘La Hora Loca,’ it translated to ‘the crazy hour.’ We just loved how everyone got up and started to dance. It was such a wholesome and unforgettable moment to have all our loved ones in one place enjoying our special day with us.”
The Send-Off
I send my extra congratulations to Alejandra and Nestor on their gorgeous day and the beginning of their life together.
